COLUMBUS, Ga. — A Georgia grandmother and toddler are dead after a shooting on Monday afternoon.
Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan confirmed to WTVM-TV that 64-year-old Ursula Dietz and her 19-month-old granddaughter, Elenor Dietz, were shot several times at their Columbus, Georgia home.

WTVM-TV also reports that Ursula Dietz’s son, Kevin Dietz, has been taken into custody for the double homicide. Kevin Dietz is also the toddler’s uncle.
Officers were called to the Hilton Avenue home around 2 p.m.

Kevin Dietz’s charges were not immediately clear.
Police have not released details on what led up to the shooting.
