NORCROSS, Ga.,None — The funeral for Stacey English was held Saturday morning, but her family still wants answers about how the woman died.
English disappeared the day after Christmas and her remains were found wedged under a tree on Jan 23.
The autopsy did not reveal English's cause of death, but her mother, Cindy Jamison, said last week that she believes her daughter was murdered.
"There is no doubt in my mind that there had to be some type of foul play involved. The way that she was found and where she was found, and that is what we are wanting to make sure that no one gets tired at this point, it's only beginning, there is a lot more work to do," Jamison said.
English, 36, was last seen at her condo off Lenox Road. Her Volvo was found running unattended in a library parking lot near her home Dec. 27. In her apartment, she left behind her cellphone, iPad and keys.
A friend who was visiting her from out of town for the holidays said she was acting strangely before her disappearance. Atlanta police interviewed the man, Robert Kirk, but said he was never suspected of foul play and has been cooperative with investigators.
