Fulton deputies arrest man wanted on murder charge in New Orleans

FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office said it discovered a man whom they were serving with a temporary protection order was wanted in another state.

Deputies said they were serving Charles Dowell when they found out that he was wanted by the Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Department in New Orleans on murder and aggravated assault charges.

He was taken into custody and transported to Fulton County Jail where he will wait for extradition. He is expected to have a hearing sometime this week, officials said.
