GEORGIA — There are now 7,558 confirmed cases of coronavirus with 294 deaths in Georgia, according to new data released.
At least 1,393 cases required hospitalization. The DPH does not track the number of recoveries because it cannot accurately quantify the number at this time, according to a spokesperson.
These numbers are up from 6,742 confirmed cases and 219 deaths reported Sunday night.

Fulton County became the first county in the state to top 1,000 cases. Only five counties in the state have no confirmed COVID-19 cases.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, 60 percent of the cases are ages 18-59, 35 percent are 60 and older, 4 percent unknown and 1 percent are under age 17.
Commercial labs have completed 28,777 tests with 7,099 positive results. The Georgia Public Health Laboratory has completed 2,497 tests with 459 positive results.

COVID-19 DEATHS
The youngest person to die in Georgia was a 29-year-old woman in Peach County. The oldest was a 98-year-old man in Clarke County. The median age of the victims is 73.
