SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Union City police say three people are in custody after gunshots were fired in the parking lot of Benjamin Banneker High School in south Fulton County.
School officials put the school on lockdown around 1 p.m. Banneker is located on Feldwood Road. Police said an argument inside the school spilled into the student parking lot around noon Tuesday.

"There were shots fired in the parking lot. The shots were in the air. We're still investigating, working with Union City police," said Fulton County Schools spokeswoman Susan Hale.
Police said there are no reports of injuries.
Feldwood Elementary School was also placed on lockdown as a precaution. Students were dismissed for the day around 2:30 p.m., officials said.
"Through the course of the investigation, officers identified and took custody of three subjects that were involved and are continuing their investigation," said Union City Police Officer Chris Murphy.
