FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. — Much of Floyd County saw extensive damage during a tornado warning as severe storms moved through Friday afternoon.
Luckily, Channel 2 Action News has not received reports of any injuries.
Channel 2′s Larry Spruill spoke with one family who says they lost a lot of property during the storms but is thankful they weren’t hurt.

A large tree was knocked over and crushed two of the Ware family’s cars and twisted the power lines, leaving them without power.
Jay Ware says her husband needs the power to survive.
“My husband is the need of a double lung transplant. He’s on constant oxygen, but we don’t have any power now, so he’s breathing on manual tanks until we can get some help here,” said Ware.
She says Friday’s storms are a reminder of how strong ‘Mother Nature’ can be. Both Ware and her husband were home when the storm hit on Friday afternoon.
“I just screamed. ‘Oh my God, what’s happening,’” she said.

The extensive damage was shown by the massive size of the tree limb and both windows of her two cars being smashed in.
“It sounded like it was the end of the world,” said Ware.
She’s trying to focus on picking up the pieces, but the hardest part about all of this is trying to be optimistic.
“I’m laughing to keep from crying,” she said.
