ATLANTA — A flight from Monterrey, Mexico, to Atlanta had to make not one but two emergency landings.
Channel 2's Carl Willis tracked down Francisco Torres, one of the passengers, using social media.
Willis spoke with Torres via FaceTime after Delta announced the flight from Mexico would not arrive at Atlanta on time due to a second emergency stop in Houston.
"The AC wasn't working so the pressure started going down abruptly so there were some passengers that were like unconscious," Torres said.
It was just after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon when firefighters and first responders got in place at Corpus Christi International after the flight requested an emergency evacuation.
According to ExpressJet, the airline operating the flight, the crew followed procedure and landed safely.
The plane was checked and took off once again only to be grounded at Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston for the same reasons.
"It was very scary because it was the second time that the AC failed," Torres said. "When you land and they check the plane. I think they have to be sure that the plane is safe to continue."
