HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Being a firefighter sometimes means climbing up a ladder to rescue someone. And sometimes it means heading down into a manhole to rescue a cat.
Hall County Fire Rescue said in a social media post that Station 17 headed out to a call Monday night to retrieve a kitten from a storm drain.
Firefighter Matt Martens removed the manhole cover got into drain and rescued the kitten from a tunnel below the ground, the fire service said.
“Not your typical call, but we’re always here to serve!” Hall County Fire Rescue said.
