During an FBI news conference Friday night, authorities said Inique Hinton was arrested earlier Friday and faces two federal charges of arson and damaging government property for hurling a Molotov cocktail at the building.

“It’s an attack against our democracy,” Theodore S. Hertzberg, U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Georgia said during a news conference.

Hinton, 31, of Douglasville, was arrested in Cobb County without incident.

Hertzberg said he will be prosecuted with “extreme severity” for the “terroristic act” against the federal facility.

For the arson charge, the suspect faces five to 20 years in prison if convicted, and for the damaging government property charge, he faces another 10 years if convicted.

“Attacking a federal building with an incendiary device like a Molotov cocktail is a despicable, terroristic crime that warrants an immediate and severe response,” Hertzberg said.

“Those who attack our government buildings with fire and violence will be held accountable,” said Marlo Graham, Special Agent in Charge of FBI Atlanta.

Earlier, Channel 2 Action News reported the FBI released photos of the suspect.

The ICE office is located along Ted Turner Drive, accessible to passersby. Agents believe the suspect they’re looking for walked up, threw the firebomb, then walked away Tuesday around 8 p.m.

Agents announced earlier the FBI were offering a $20,000 reward to anyone who can help identify the suspect shown in surveillance photos.
