SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — FBI agents with guns drawn smashed through a door and raided a house in Fairburn Tuesday morning.
Channel 2 Action News was the only crew on scene as agents went through the home on Birdsview Drive. We're told the raid happened after 6 a.m. when agents swarmed the house, executed a warrant and made an arrest. But investigators won't give too much detail.
"People yelling, 'FBI! FBI!'. I ran to the door and I could see the FBI several cars and blue lights going off," said one neighbor.
While many neighbors said they were shocked upon hearing the news of the raid, but one told Channel 2's Audrey Washington she saw suspicious activity at the home.
"Several cars all time of day and night going, a lot of suspicious activity," said the neighbor, who didn't want to be identified.
Other neighbors said they were caught off guard.
"A deputy sheriff lives right across the street so I think it kind of caught me off guard," said neighbor Tonja Russell.
So far, no one has been allowed inside the house as the investigation continues.
The Fulton County Police Department also assisted with the operation.
