FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. — Deputies say they stopped an attempt to steal mail in Fayette County over the weekend.
Deputies were alerted to suspicious activity in Kenwood Business Park and spotted Demario Dequon Finley, 23, of Lanett, Alabama, and Jadyn Lashay Person, 23, of LaGrange, Georgia.
Kenwood Business Park is heavily patrolled by the sheriff’s office because of the high volume of mail thefts.

Deputies arrested both suspects.
Earlier this month, thieves stole checks from a mailbox just steps away from the entrance of the Fayette County Post Office.
