ROCKDALE, Ga. — The family of a woman killed outside a Goodwill donation center in an act of revenge is grieving. The victim's daughter spoke only with Channel 2 Action News days after the murder.

Authorities said they found Pamela Harmon, 57, dead in the parking lot from a gunshot wound just after 8 a.m. Tuesday. Officials said Harmon was on her way to work.

Investigators said the suspect, Brandon Lamar Johnson, was a former co-worker at the Goodwill store.

"It's hard for us at Goodwill to experience anything like this especially when it is a loss of one of our own in such a tragic way," said Elaine Armstrong with Goodwill.

Police said Harmon filed a complaint against Johnson, who was then transferred to another store.

According to local business owners, Harmon had worked at the location for 11 years.

Harmon's daughter Carolyn Guiden spoke with only Channel 2 Action News about her mother who she says was an inspiration.

"There are no words for the feeling I have for the loss of my mother, and yet the realization that I will never see her alive again," Guiden said. "Still feels like a terrible nightmare."

"My mother was not only taken from me, but my brother and her three granddaughters, which I had to explain to them that their grandmother was no longer coming back," Guiden said.

Harmon's family has set up a GoFundMe page to help cover funeral costs.
