SOUTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Family and friends of Randisha Love released balloons to bring attention to her unsolved murder. The 17-year-old girl was struck and killed by a stray bullet while sitting in her home last month.
It's been a month since Katara Hamm and her son found Love shot to death in their south Fulton County home. Ham says she doesn't know if she will ever live there again.
"I can't even walk back near my house, because it's so hurtful."
That pain is felt by many who loved the 17-year-old who wanted to join the Air Force after graduating college.
Friends and family consoled Hamm as she struggles to adjust since her daughter's death.
"I no longer feel safe. I don't trust anyone, because I don't know who did it and why," Hamm said.
Hamm says the fact that her daughter's killer is still at large makes it harder to find peace.
