The family says Rudy was lost while being transported on a Delta Airlines flight from Canada to Florida.

Rudy's cage broke open, and the kitten escaped into the cargo area on June 4 around 7 a.m.

A spokesperson for Delta Airlines said the airline is looking into what went wrong.

Virginia is holding him in her arms and says he is well!!!!!
