ATLANTA — Parts of Georgia are bracing for their first snowfall of the year.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 3 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday for Henry, Newton, Morgan, Greene, Spalding, Meriwether, Pike, Lamar, Butts, Upson, Jasper, and Putnam counties, where up to one inch of snow is possible.
Slick roads could develop, especially on bridges and overpasses, and in areas where lingering moisture freezes. Take caution if you must travel on Sunday.

Flurries could reach as far north as Interstate 85. Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Ashley Kramlich says little to no accumulation is expected across metro Atlanta.
This will be fast-moving, with precipitation ending by late Sunday morning.
Looking ahead, Sunday and Monday will be sunny but cold and brisk.
