CONYERS, Ga. — Conyers police said an AutoZone employee accidentally shot their coworker at the store Monday.
The person was shot in the leg at the location on Highway 138 near the cross street of Pine Log Road NE, and they were taken for medical care.
Police said the employee was “manipulating a firearm” when it went off.
They have been charged with reckless conduct.
There is no ongoing threat to the public, police said.
No other information was immediately provided. The investigation is ongoing.
Conyers police asked people to avoid the area around the AutoZone.
