ATLANTA — Temperatures dropped overnight after rain and storms pounded most of Georgia Thursday. Colder air has moved in today and some parts of north Georgia and metro Atlanta saw snow flurries this morning.

Here’s what you can expect:
- High temperatures will only reach into the low 40s
- We’ll have a mix of sun and clouds throughout the day
- More rain is headed toward metro Atlanta

9:12 a.m.: Cobb County schools says it’s cold and there may be some snowflakes out there... but school is still open.

8:45 a.m.: Here’s another video from outside Midtown.
8:26: a.m.: Viewers are reporting seeing snow in Johns Creek.
8:03 a.m.: Flurries reported across metro Atlanta.
7:58 a.m.: Snow is falling at the Channel 2 studios in Midtown.
7:34 a.m.: Johnson Brady Road is closed in Cherokee County due to flooding.
7:13 a.m.: Union County Schools were on a 2-hour delay but now announced it will close schools Friday.
6:47 a.m.: Snow is falling in Paulding County
6:33 a.m.: Viewers are reporting seeing snow in Elijay, Adairsville, near Woodstock and other cities.
6:25 a.m.: We’re getting a look at snowflakes in Georgia.
6:01 a.m.: Snow has started to fall in Fannin County.
5:30 a.m.: Snow showers moving closer to the north Georgia mountains.
5:25 a.m.: Several school districts announced closures or delayed starts Friday morning.
