LITHONIA, Ga. — A busy road in DeKalb County was shut down for hours after a crash involving a moving truck.
The crash happened on Main Street and Parkway Drive in Lithonia. Police said the driver of a U-Haul truck lost control on a curb and struck pole. The pole snapped in half and damaged six power poles.
Georgia Power crews finished repairing the damage shortly before 5:45 a.m. All power was restored in the area, but police are still trying to find the driver.
Channel 2 Action News was at the scene as a tow truck hauled off the moving truck in the pre-dawn hours Tuesday. Police are also looking into whether the truck was stolen.
