SNELLVILLE, Ga. — Opponents of two proposed apartment complexes in Snellville protested Saturday morning against one of the developers.

Dozens of people showed up outside Brand Bank on Highway 78 to take a stand against Brand Properties, who is proposing a complex of 250 apartments.

SOSnellville says the two developments will negatively impact Brookwood schools and worsen traffic congestion on Scenic Highway. They're also concerned it could add crime to the area.

One of the organizers of SOSnellville says they are upset over what they call delay tactics by the developer.

The city’s planning commission is scheduled to consider the other proposed development of 400 apartments, townhomes, and single-family homes by Lynwood Development later this month.

Channel 2 reached out to the developer about Saturday’s protest, but has not received a response.
