NEW YORK — The Dow Jones industrial average is trading over 20,000 points for the first time, the latest milestone in a record-setting drive for the stock market.
On Tuesday, the Dow closed 0.6 percent higher at 19,912.71.
U.S. stocks continue to be the main driver across the world. They have enjoyed a strong rally recently amid hopes that the Trump administration will cut taxes, stimulate the economy and reduce red tape.
The Dow has been flirting with the 20,000 mark for weeks.
