DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. — Police are looking for a gunman who fired a gun inside a busy Douglas County store.

The shots were fired inside a Best Buy around 12:30 p.m. Monday at the location along Douglas Boulevard in Douglasville.

Police told Channel 2’s Tom Jones they are looking into whether the shots were meant to distract workers.

One customer told Jones when she pulled up, she saw a man frantically running from the store.

I pulled up to him and said, ‘What happened? Why are you running?’ And he said, 'There's a shooter,'” customer Imelda Farr said.

The police chief told Jones the gunfire came from the back of the store. Detectives found holes where it appeared the rounds landed.
