Deputies arrest Georgia man accused of having 3-and-a-half pounds of meth

LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga. — A Georgia man is in jail on drug charges after deputies said they found methamphetamines at a home.

The Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office said it conducted a search at 25-year-old Jonathan Michael Whitehead’s home on Monday. Deputies said the search warrant was based on a months-long investigation.

Photos posted by the sheriff’s office shows several bags filled with white powder.

Inside the home on Summerour Road, authorities said they found 1,600 grams of methamphetamines, which is 3.5 pounds.

Whitehead was charged with trafficking methamphetamines.
