DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is on the scene of a shooting involving a DeKalb County police officer.
The shooting happened overnight at the East Ponce Village apartments on Wood Bend Drive, where police have put up crime scene tape.

Investigators told Channel 2’s Darryn Moore that the officer was responding to a call at the complex when the officer saw a man with a gun unrelated to the call.
The two then got into a confrontation, during which the man was shot. Investigators told Moore that the man is expected to survive. The officer was not hurt.
