DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Police are investigating after someone was hit by a car and killed on Monday morning.
Officers were called to the intersection of Lavista Road and North Druid Hills Road.

Police confirmed that a “young adult” was hit by a car and killed.
That person’s identity and what led to the crash have not been released.
