DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Police are investigating a deadly shooting at an apartment complex in Dunwoody.
Dunwoody police told Channel 2's Steve Gehlbach the man was shot and killed in the parking deck of the Arrive Perimeter apartments off Asbury Square and Meadow Lane Road.
They believe the victim and the shooter knew each other, but so far they have not released either of their identities.
"It didn't sound like someone going in the garage, like a car hitting something in the garage…sounded like a gun," Natosha Gailes said.
Gehlbach arrived at the scene Monday morning and spoke with neighbors who said they heard screams and gunshots around 5:20 a.m.
Another neighbor who heard the gunshots told Gehlbach it was rapid fire and there were more than just three shots.

Police said they found the victim on the first floor under one of the buildings in the back of the complex. We were there as detectives processed the large scene in the deck.
They taped off a stairway and searched the walkways and landscaping looking for more evidence.
Detectives are talking to 911 callers, looking for any potential witnesses and for surveillance video that may show what happened and captured an image of the shooter.
