DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A fire gutted a building at a DeKalb County apartment complex Wednesday morning.

Flames broke out at the Brannon Hill Condominium on Baynes Hill Circle around 11:30 a.m.

Fire at Brannon Hill Condominiums on Nov. 23, 2016.

Fourteen fire units and 30 firefighters worked to put out the blaze.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Channel 2’s Liz Artz spoke with a person who lives inside the unit where the fire started, for a live report on Channel 2 Action News starting at 4 p.m.

The complex has been on DeKalb County’s radar for a while. A number of the buildings in the complex are dilapidated or already torn down.

Earlier this month, a judge signed an order giving the owners 60 days to get buildings demolished or the property cleaned up before the county stepped in and did it for them and then put a lien on the property.
