DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — One man is recovering after being shot during an argument inside The Mall at Stonecrest on Thursday afternoon.
DeKalb County police say two men got into an argument inside a Champs sneakers store near the mall’s main entrance.
The argument ended with shots being fired and one of the men being grazed by a bullet. No other injuries were reported. The victim has not been identified.
Officials at Stonecrest Mall say the second man involved in the argument ran from their property after shots were fired. Police are still searching for the shooter.

NewsChopper 2 was over the scene right after the shooting happened on Channel 2 Action News at 3 p.m.
Channel 2′s Tyisha Fernandes was on the ground at the mall Thursday, where witnesses said they heard the shots and were terrified.

“Right when we heard the shooting, everybody started ducking and running,” a mall employee who didn’t want to be identified said. “Basically, we were in there working, and we heard like one loud thump. It was really loud. And after that we just heard a lot of gunshots and everybody started ducking. People started running.”
She said her business shut down. As they were making their way out of the mall, an announcement came over the speakers that the mall was temporarily closed.

Police are still working to identify who was involved in the shooting.
