DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — An overnight fire in DeKalb County left a vacant building destroyed.
Crews responded to a structure fire just before 1:30 a.m. on Friday at 2537 Candler Road.
When firefighters arrived to the scene, they found flames coming from the roof of the building.

To get to the building to put out the fire, firefighters had to cut through a gate surrounding the property.
Because of the amount of fire, crews had to battle the fire from outside the building.
Once the majority of the fire had been put out, firefighters were able to make their way into the home to check for anyone trapped inside and put out the rest of the fire.

No injuries were reported.
Fire officials say the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
