FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Investigators are now calling her death suspicious.
Channel 2’s Jessica Jaglois spoke with a family friend who says the loss and lack of closure has been difficult to take.
They say 39-year-old Sabrina Deramus was full of life, personality and love.
“(She was) a fun person, sweet, all packed into one person,” Cearon Brown said.
Brown said he has known Deramus and her three children since they moved into their home on Palmview Court in south Fulton County four years ago.
“We call each other family and I called her auntie,” Brown said.
Brown told Jaglois he was shocked when his mother called him to say that his friend’s home was on fire this week.

Then, he learned the news that her body was found inside.
“I was shocked over everything because you don't hear about a lot of fires happening down here, so I was shocked over everything, Brown said.
According to fire investigators, Deramus’ charred remains were found inside her car in her garage.
That's also where investigators say they believe the fire started, although they are not yet sure about how.
The Fulton County Fire Department has now turned the case over to police for investigation, officials said.
The home is unlivable.
Brown said that Deramus’ three children, ages 7, 9, and 16, are currently staying with relatives. That is the same for the victim’s mother, who lived with them at the house, Brown said.
Though no one else was home when the fire started they lost everything...including their mother and daughter.
The car the victim’s body was found in has been seized as evidence, officials said.
Meanwhile, family friends are collecting clothes and toiletries for her children
