ATLANTA — All lanes of Interstate 75/85 northbound in midtown Atlanta are shut down for a deadly crash investigation.

Triple Team Traffic’s Mike Shields reports the crash happened just before 5 a.m. near North Avenue exit. Atlanta police confirmed to Shields that a person was hit by a vehicle and that the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
It could be hours before the lanes reopen. Traffic is being diverted at the Peachtree Street exit.
Channel 2 Action News has reached out to Atlanta Fire Rescue to confirm if anyone else was injured in the crash.
