Pilot walks away from small plane crash in Coweta County

COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — Officials say a small plane crashed in Coweta County on Saturday afternoon.

Fire Chief Deron “Pat” Wilson said the plane crashed in the woods off Chestelhurst Road in Senoia around 12:40 p.m. Officials said the plane was a Acroduster II SA750.

When first responders went to the scene, the pilot walked out of the woods. He only had minor injuries and was taken to the hospital. His identity has not been released.

Witnesses said they saw the pilot performing acrobatic tricks.

The Federal Aviation Administration will investigate, and the National Transportation Safety Board will determine the probable cause of the accident.
