Cost to repair road collapse from storm, flooding totals $869K

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Funding to repair a storm damaged road in Hall County will go before the board of commissioners Thursday for approval.

Heavy rains from July storms washed out Falcon Crest Drive, causing the road to collapse during the flooding.

Crews had to repair the road in Flowery Branch by putting in a new culvert and building up one lane of the road. The cost added up to $869,340.

Funding is expected to come from SPLOST VIII and the Capital Projects Fund.

Hall County Board of Commissioners are expected to vote on the issue in its 6 p.m. meeting Thursday.
