Coronavirus cases in Georgia now over 5,400, with 176 deaths

GEORGIA — GEORGIA — There are now 5,444 confirmed cases of coronavirus with 176 deaths in the state of Georgia, as of noon Thursday. At least 1,129 cases required hospitalization.

Here are the latest case numbers and deaths broken down county-by-county, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health’s report.

According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, 59 percent of the cases are ages 18-59, 36 percent are 60 and older, 4 percent unknown and 1 percent ages 0-17.

The youngest person to die from COVID-19 complications in Georgia is a 29-year-old woman in Peach County with unknown conditions.
