COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A 19-year-old is facing charges after police say a teenager was run over and left injured in a Cobb County neighborhood.

The incident happened near Clay Drive and Macland Road. Police have charged Daniel Marseillie, 19, with hit-and-run.
A witness who rushed to help the victim told Channel 2 Action News she heard people arguing inside an SUV moments before the teen ended up in the roadway.
“I heard loud voices. Very loud voices,” Jacqueline Collins said.
Collins said she was preparing to call 911 because it appeared an altercation was taking place when she saw the teen come out of the back of the vehicle.
“I went to call 911 because it was obvious there was an altercation going on. As I put in the nine and the one, I see the girl’s body come out of the back of the car,” Collins said.
Collins believes someone pushed the 17-year-old from the SUV. She said what happened next was shocking.

“The car takes off and the back driver tire rolls over her, and I immediately put my car in park, got out and ran over to her while I’m calling 911,” Collins said.
According to Collins, the SUV sped away after the teen was struck.
“He didn’t even stop at the corner to get on the street. He just flew,” she said.
Collins stayed with the injured teen until first responders arrived.
“I was shaken and trying to talk to her and just calm her down. I asked her if she knew who hit her. I tried to tell her to keep still, told her it was going to be OK,” Collins said.
Investigators said the 17-year-old underwent surgery and spent several days in the hospital recovering from her injuries.
Collins, who runs the Cobb County Youth Track League, said helping the teen was an easy decision.
“I have a daughter. It was pitch black, no lights. Other cars that would come into the subdivision would have hit her because they would not have seen her,” Collins said.
The investigation remains ongoing.
