SMYRNA, Ga. — A Cobb County jury awarded a woman a $2.5 million verdict after a serious crash left her needing a spinal fusion surgery for neck injuries she sustained.
The woman was represented by Morgan & Morgan attorneys, who took on her case after a rear-end collision seriously injured her while she drove on Cobb Parkway in 2023.
According to Morgan & Morgan, the woman was attempting to turn right onto Cobb Parkway from Roberts Boulevard when she stopped to yield for oncoming traffic.

The vehicle behind her did not and rear-ended her, leaving her with neck injuries in need of what the law firm described as extensive treatment, including injections, a DiscFX procedure and a spinal fusion surgery.
Morgan & Morgan said the injuries caused the crash victim significant and ongoing pain, diminishing her daily quality of life.
“This case was about showing the jury what was taken from our client because of another driver’s negligence,” said Morgan & Morgan founder John Morgan and attorney Matthew Grossman. “Her injuries required extensive treatment and prevented her from enjoying activities that were important to her, including camping with her fiancé. Despite the defense’s efforts to downplay our client’s pain and suffering, we are proud to have secured a verdict that recognizes the impact this crash has had on her life.”
A Cobb County jury awarded the woman $2.5 million on Oct. 23.
