MARIETTA, Ga. — Three Marietta police officers are lucky to be alive after an impaired driver crashed into and totaled their vehicles on I-75 Northbound Saturday morning.
Police say around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, the officers had parked their two vehicles on the shoulder of the highway with blue lights flashing to work a minor accident near the Roswell Road ramp.

Two of the officers were out of their vehicle while the third remained inside completing paperwork when a pickup truck slammed into one vehicle forcing it into the other.
Marietta police say Officer Salyers, who was doing the paperwork, had minor injuries and was treated on the scene; the other two officers were not injured.

Investigators say the driver of the pickup was unconscious and was given Narcan by the officers on the scene in an attempt to try and revive him. He was later transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital and will be facing multiple charges.
Marietta police say the investigation is still open at this time.
