COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Federal agents with Homeland Security raided an East Cobb home Thursday morning.
Agents collected boxes and bags of evidence from a home in the Chestnut Springs subdivision in Marietta.
Channel 2's Tom Regan learned the raid is part of a multi-state investigation involving fentanyl, a deadly synthetic opioid produced in underground labs.
One man was arrested during the raid.
"I'm surprised there's a raid going on where I run by regularly," neighbor John Buhler said.

Fentanyl has caused an epidemic of overdose deaths, both in combination with heroin and in counterfeit pills.
Fake Percocet pills sold on the street in central Georgia recently caused a rash of overdoses and killed five people.
There's no information that the raid in Cobb County had any connection to what happened in central Georgia.
"You really don't know who your neighbor is half the time," Buhler said.
Federal authorities have not yet released the name of the man arrested or the charges against him.
