COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A 2-year-old girl is hospitalized after being pulled from a swimming pool during her birthday celebration at a Cobb County apartment complex Saturday night.

Cobb County police were called to the Stadium Walk Apartments on Circle 75 Parkway around 9:17 p.m. after reports that a toddler had been found in the complex’s swimming pool.
Officials said residents were celebrating the child’s birthday when partygoers noticed the girl floating in the water.

The toddler was immediately pulled from the pool but was initially unresponsive. People at the scene began performing CPR, and police said the child regained consciousness before first responders arrived.
Cobb County police and Marietta firefighters arrived at the apartment complex and provided additional medical care.
The child was then taken to a local children’s hospital for further evaluation and treatment as a precaution.
Police said foul play is not suspected.
