MARIETTA, Ga. — A 2-year-old reported missing Friday afternoon was found dead near their apartment home in Marietta.
Now, the child’s mother’s boyfriend, Dairon Anthony Keith, is in jail accused of concealing a death and making false statements to police.
Channel 2 Action News reported the neighbors’ stunned reaction on Saturday and their commitment to getting answers.
On Friday, police told Channel 2’s Michael Doudna that when the boy was found, he had likely been dead “a considerable amount of time” before being reported missing.
The case is still under investigation. On Saturday, police told Channel 2’s Bryan Mims that there were still “more questions than answers.”
Keith was denied bond and remains in the Cobb County Jail, Marietta police said.
