A 7-year-old boy is in the hospital after he was shot multiple times.
The shooting happened early Thursday morning at an apartment complex on Kimberly Way in southwest Atlanta.
We’re working to learn what led up to the shooting, for Channel 2 Action News This Morning from 4:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

An officer on the scene told Channel 2 Action News that the 7-year-old was shot three times in the arm. Paramedics took the boy to a local hospital, where police say he is now stable.
Investigators have not said how the boy was shot and if there is anyone in custody.
