CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — The Cherokee County Marshal's Office arrested and charged a couple accused of having more than 100 cats in a home, along with a juvenile.
According to the Marshal's Office, Patrick and Megan Kuykendall face 129 counts of cruelty to animals and one count of second-degree cruelty to children. The child cruelty charge is a felony.
A total of 129 cats were removed from their Canton home.
The Marshal's Office says many of the cats found at the Canton home appeared to be in poor health.

Investigators said there were also two dogs in the home.
The homeowners voluntarily gave up their pets to a nearby animal shelter.
The child was removed from the home by DFACS.
The couple remains in the Cherokee County Adult Detention Center where their bond is set at $151,200, according to the Marshal's Office.
