CAMDEN COUNTY, Ga. — Camden County sheriff's officials found a K-9 officer after a search lasting a few hours.
According to a post on the K-9 Unit's Facebook page, K-9 Jimmy was put in his kennel at the substation behind Walmart on Highway 40 in Camden County Saturday.
He broke out of the kennel between the hours of 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., the post says.
The Sheriff's Office reported Jimmy was found behind a a Walmart a quarter of a mile away from the nearest substation.
Jimmy got an unscheduled visit to the veterinarian's office before being sent home with his handler.
