People driving by the scene say they're shocked to see police respond to a death in their community.
Villa Rica police say the woman's body was found in a wooded area in Villa Rica just off Bankhead Highway near Cleghorn Street at 2:30 p.m.
The victim's identity has not been released. Police say they're looking through reports of missing women in the area, and they haven't determined the cause of death.

"We was on the way to the store from Douglasville and just happened to see it out there, and it sort of scared us. We're a little concerned. It's not something you see every day," Mark Newbold said.
Authorities do not believe the public is in danger.
