Belk closing another metro Atlanta location in 2027

GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Belk says it will be closing another store in metro Atlanta in 2027.

The North Carolina-based department store chain confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that the Norcross location will close on Jan. 15. The location on Peachtree Pkwy has been open for 25 years.

“We have been proud to serve the Norcross community for the past 25 years and will be offering our customers deals up to 75% off everything in-store, excluding Fine Jewelry, as a way to express our appreciation,” a spokesperson said.

Belk did not say how many employees will be impacted, but they will be allowed to transfer to other stores.

The Norcross store closing will come two years after the Town Center at Cobb location closed on Feb. 18, 2025.
