Dreary, rainy Thursday afternoon ahead

ATLANTA — Fog has partly lifted for parts of metro Atlanta but the dreary weather won't be going away anytime soon.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Katie Walls tracked the heavy fog Thursday on Channel 2 Action News This Morning.

A dense fog advisory expired at 9 a.m. But light rain started falling in parts of north Georgia before sunrise.

The scattered light showers will stick around through the evening commute.

“Plan on rounds of light rain throughout the day,” Walls said.

Temperatures are expected to reach the mid-60s for many areas Thursday.

The next chance for rain returns on Saturday.
