STOCKBRIDGE — Henry County authorities say an infant was dropped off at a dental office in Stockbridge early Sunday morning.
The baby boy, only a few hours old, was found outside the office at 200 Medical Boulevard, which is near Piedmont Henry Hospital, around 5 a.m.
Police say a man dropped the baby off.
The infant was taken to the hospital in good condition.
Henry County police say they found the child's mother and are currently talking with her.
Authorities say a 911 call was placed from the Hudson Bridge Walmart informing 911 where the baby could be located.
"We believe the gentleman did go to a location to try to make a 911 call from a pay phone, however was unsuccessful. The location where he did make the call was about a mile away," said Joey Smith, with the Henry County Police Department.
