ATLANTA — Exactly two years later, a murdered 23-year-old father's family is back at the house where he died in a hail of gunfire while sitting in his living room.
“It’s been 730 days and each one of those days we've talked about him, we've cried over him,” the victim’s cousin Tynice Shahid said.
Dontavious Stokes was killed when someone fired more than a dozen rounds into his house on smith street.
Some of the bullet holes are still in the house that no one has lived in since the shooting at around 2 in the morning.
Stokes leaves behind a now 6-year-old son who has to ask family members about the kind of person his dad was.

“He was a leader, he was the life of the party, he was just a great guy all around," Shahid said.
Loved ones lit candles and wore shirts with Stokes' face on it hoping that his case isn't forgotten forever.
Atlanta police records show that homicides are up 20 percent from last year.
Stokes's family fears what that means for the 20 percent of Atlanta homicides that go unsolved.
“It's just like murder after murder after murder and I know it's not enough detectives to go around,” Shahid said.
The family says this is a tight knit neighborhood that they all grew up in and they believe someone here knows something that they're not telling police.
