ATLANTA — Police are investigating after a woman in a wheelchair was hit and killed by a dump truck in southwest Atlanta Saturday.
The accident happened around 4 p.m. on Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard. Police said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the driver of the truck remained on the scene and was cooperating with officers.
The victim’s name has not been released.
It’s unclear if the driver will face charges.
