ATLANTA — Police say a woman died after being trapped in a clothing donation bin in Midtown early Thursday morning.
Officers got a call about a person trapped in a bin at 132 10th street around midnight. They found the 26-year-old unresponsive with her head stuck inside the bin. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A witness said he found a chair on its side next to the woman's body.
The woman’s identity has not been released.
"Based on evidence at the scene, it appears the woman had been trying to remove items from the bin when she was trapped by a heavy metal door," police said. "At this time, the death appears to be accidental.'
