ATLANTA — Police have arrested and charged a woman with murder after they say she shot a man in the head.
Andrea Simpson, 20, is being charged with the Aug. 14 murder of a man whose identity has not been released.

Officers say they were called to the Oakpoint Apartments on Oakdale Drive just before 5:30 a.m. to a report of a person shot.
They found the victim suffering a gunshot wound to the head. Grady EMS workers pronounced him dead on the scene.
Investigators say they initially believed the gunshot could have been self-inflicted, but ruled that possibility out.

Investigators obtained arrest warrants charging Simpson with murder and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime shortly after the murder.
She was arrested a week later on Aug. 21.
